Why roofing leads go cold so fast
A homeowner who needs a roof usually asks more than one company for a quote, often in the same evening. The first roofer who actually gets them on the phone and books a time to come out has a real head start. The rest end up chasing a voicemail.
The trouble is that roofers are rarely free when leads come in. You're on a roof, driving between estimates, or meeting an adjuster. After a storm it gets worse: leads pile up exactly when your crew is busiest. By the time you call back, the homeowner has already booked someone else.
What the AI receptionist says on the call
It sounds like a friendly front-desk person who knows your business. It confirms it's talking to the right person, mentions what they asked about, and asks a few quick questions you choose, for example:
- Is anything leaking right now, or are you planning ahead?
- How old is the roof, and is it shingle, metal, or tile?
- Is this from storm damage, and have you talked to your insurance yet?
- What's the address, so we can make sure you're in our service area?
Then it offers two or three open times for a free inspection, books the one they pick, and sends you a calendar invite with everything they said. It only states facts you've given it (your warranties, financing, service area), and it doesn't give insurance advice: it books the inspection so your team can handle that in person.
How it handles your leads
- Calls every new lead within seconds of the form being submitted, from a local number that's yours.
- Tries three times if they don't pick up (a few minutes later, then a few hours later), and leaves a short voicemail on the last try.
- Only calls during your calling hours (8am to 9pm in your time zone by default). Leads that come in overnight get called first thing in the morning.
- Answers your number 24/7 when people call back, and can transfer to you or take a message.
- Filters junk for free: fake numbers, gibberish names, throwaway emails, and duplicates aren't called and don't count.
Works with where your roofing leads come from
- Facebook and Instagram lead ads, the most common source for residential roofers.
- Google Ads lead forms and Google Local Services Ads (calls forward to your receptionist number; message leads by email).
- Your website's quote form, whatever it's built on.
- Angi, HomeAdvisor, and Thumbtack. Those services collect consent for themselves, so by default we text you each lead first and call only when you tap OK.
- Your CRM (GoHighLevel, JobNimbus, AccuLynx, and others that can send a webhook or email).
Built for storm season
After a hail storm you might get more leads in a day than in a normal week. The receptionist calls all of them at once; nobody waits in line. To protect you from fake leads (bots sometimes flood ad forms), it pauses and texts you if more than 50 leads arrive in a day or 20 in ten minutes, and keeps going the moment you approve.
What it costs
$1,500 to set up and $1,500 a month, with 1,000 new leads a month included. Junk and duplicate leads don't count toward that, and each lead counts once no matter how many times we call it. If you need more, add 500 leads for a month ($750) or for every month (+$500/month). Cancel anytime from your billing page; it runs to the end of the month you paid for.
Setup takes one sitting: paste your website and our AI fills in your services, prices, service area, and FAQs for you. Then you connect your lead forms with a 5-minute guide, send a test lead, and we confirm it arrived before you pay.
Questions
Will homeowners know they're talking to an AI?
If anyone asks, it says honestly that it's your company's virtual assistant. It never pretends to be a person. Most homeowners care much more that someone called back right away.
What if I'm on a roof when it books something?
You get a calendar invite by email and a text with the homeowner's name, address, and what they need. If you share your calendar link, it reads your busy times so it won't double-book you.
Can it transfer a hot lead to me?
Yes. If a homeowner wants a person, has an active leak, or asks something it can't answer, it can transfer the call to your cell or take a message and text it to you.
Do I need new software?
No. You keep your ad accounts, website, and CRM. You send leads to a private address or email we give you, and appointments land on your calendar. There's nothing new to log into.
